13th- and 14th-Century Exhibits
This period, like the preceding ones, is typified by objects which have only survived by having been buried for centuries, although a growing number of objects have survived above ground.
The majority of museum exhibits have come from the church. Ecclesiastical power is evidenced in the church goods, some made in Iceland, other imported. Wood was carved and silver chalices were made. Spearheads are a reminder of the bloodshed of the Sturlung Age.
