FLOW is an exhibition of selected works by Sölvi Helgason, who went by the pseudonym Sólon Íslandus.

His much-admired works are closely intertwined with his own story - that of a folk artist who refused to bow to societal restrictions and social norms. Sölvi’s works flowed between art forms and periods; a flow where figurative drawings, sketches, texts, and various scribbles merge into a distinctive visual world. His sensitivity is evident in delicate illustrations where garlands of flowers and other patterns twirl across the paper, often accompanied by unexpected additions such as letters, faces, or symbolic motifs that refer to places and people he encountered on his travels

At the opening of the exhibition, the band Mógil will hold a release concert for their new album, which is inspired by Sölvi’s images and writings. The album provides yet another example of how Sölvi Helgason continues to influence other artists, the music will be part of the exhibition.
