The National Museum of Iceland and the National Film Archive of Iceland invite you on a swimming trip on Museum Night. On the occasion of the recent inclusion of Icelandic swimming culture on the UNESCO list of intangible cultural heritage, the National Film Archive of Iceland has compiled vivid films of this remarkable Icelandic tradition; bathing in hot pools. The films will be shown on Museum Night at the National Museum, where you can see, among other things, the most diverse swimming practices and swimming facilities, such as lessons and competitions held throughout the centuries. The film is 30 minutes long and will be repeated every half an hour in the National Museum's lecture hall on the first floor of the museum on Suðurgata. The first screening starts at 6:00 PM.

Showtimes are as follows: 18:00, 18:30, 19:00, 19:30, 20:00, 20:30, 21:00, 21:30, 22:00 and 22:30.

Admission is free to the museum's events on Museum Night.
