Facilities and accessibility at the National Museum of Iceland at Suðurgata 41.

Parking
Two parking lots for disabled, close to the main entrance. The driveway is from Suðurgata. Please note that the spots in front of the entrance are for buses only.

Wheelchairs
We have three available wheelchairs, please ask at the reception.

Strollers
are are available. 

Audio guide
in Icelandic, English, Danish, German, Italian, French, Swedish, Spanish, and Polish. There is also a special audio guide for children in Icelandic and English.

Elevators
between all floors.

Multimedia
technology is used in the exhibitions, including "telecommunications" with past residents and movies on screens.

Lavatories
One lavatory in the basement for disabled and one on the second floor.

Braille
An overview of the museum and where to find audio guides. Please ask for information at the reception.
  
National Museum of Iceland received recognition from Sjálfsbjörg in 2006 for good access for disabled people to exhibitions.
